Is Pastor James Knox a Jehovah's Witness?

The Striking Parallels

JAMES KNOX'S PROMINENT CHURCH MEMBERS ARE JEHOVAH WITNESSES

Overwhelming evidence (in the video below) that James Knox's prominent church member and business partner, Linda Strand, is a Jehovah's Witness who deceitfully proselytizes Christians to become Jehovah Witnesses. Read the following quote from Linda Strand's video:

"The Jehovah Witnesses are so kind and wonderful. Open your door and be willing to spend time with them. Be friendly and receptive toward them. Listen to them and don't interrupt. Be willing to learn from them. Don't be a know-it-all. Don't argue with them. Don't show them that they are wrong. Don't call them a cult. Maybe you can win their friendship. Tell them about your family and ask them about their family. Exchange phone numbers with them. Show an interest in them. Tell them that you read their Awake Magazine, even if you don't. Tell them that you appreciate them stopping by. Be sure you're home when you promise to meet with them again."

(Linda Strand, James Knox's church member.)

GOD'S WAY: The Jehovah Witnesses

"God's Way" is a term peculiar to the Jehovah Witnesses as they often hold "God's Way" Conferences.

"May you have a safe journey and return home refreshed, determined to press on in Jehovah's precious service and to keep pursuing God's Way of Life for your eternal blessing."

MEETINGS: The Jehovah Witnesses

Jehovah Witnesses refer to all their weekly worship services as meetings.

"Jehovah's Witnesses hold meetings for worship twice each week. At these meetings, which are open to the public, we examine what the Bible says and how we can apply its teachings in our life.

"Most of our services include audience participation, much like a classroom discussion. Participation is voluntary. Meetings begin and end with song and prayer."

A Jehovah Witness Meeting

MEETINGS: James Knox

Pastor James Knox refers to church services as meetings. When he returns to Deland after preaching to Independent Fundamental Baptists church congregations across the US, he'll preach about how well all of the "meetings" (church services) went.

THE MEETING HOURS: The Jehovah Witnesses

The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Deland, Fl. meets on Sundays at 10:00 AM and on Thursdays at 7:30 PM.

THE MEETING HOURS: James Knox

Churches in the US commonly hold a Sunday morning service and a mid-week service on a Wednesday night.  James Knox's Bible Baptist Church meets on Sundays at 10:30 AM and Thursdays at 7:00 PM.

COLLECTIONS: The Jehovah Witnesses

"You don't have to be one of the Jehovah's Witnesses to attend our meetings. We invite everyone to come along. Seats are free.  No Collections are ever taken." (L)

"At Kingdom Hall meetings, there are two donation boxes in the rear of the hall which people may choose to put money in. One box is for paying for local congregation expenses (such as electricity and water bills), and the other box is for contributing to worldwide expenses..." (L)

COLLECTIONS: James Knox

James Knox's Bible Baptist Church never takes collections and a collection plate is never passed to the congregation.  Knox, however, does keep two donation boxes at the rear of his chapel.

HOLIDAYS: The Jehovah Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses will not celebrate Christmas, Easter, or most holidays.

HOLIDAYS: James Knox

Pastor James Knox's church will not celebrate Christmas or Easter.

POLITICS: The Jehovah Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses never involve themselves with politics

POLITICS: James Knox

James Knox never involves his church with politics.

"We do not involve ourselves in any form of politics or in social issues."

James Knox, From Where I Stand 2013, p. 162

PATRIOTISM: The Jehovah Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses have been banned from many countries because they are often hostile to their host country.

PATRIOTISM: James Knox

James Knox constantly bashes the US government and its leaders while always referring to the United States in his sermons as "your country."

ALCOHOL: The Jehovah Witnesses

The JW's strongly discourage alcohol consumption.

ALCOHOL: James Knox

James Knox strongly discourages his congregation from all alcohol consumption.

SHUNNING: The Jehovah Witnesses

The JW's will shun all ex-members along with their own family members if they remain critical.

Shunning: James Knox

James Knox demands that his congregation shun their own family members who are critical of his many unbiblical teachings.

OBEDIENCE: The Jehovah Witnesses

The JW's must obey their leader unconditionally.

"It cannot be stressed too strongly that this obedience is to be given even if the follower's own mind and conscience are offended." (Are you ready to obey?)

OBEDIENCE: James Knox

James Knox's congregation must obey James Knox and agree with their leaders even when they are wrong and unbiblical

Shortly after this author biblically refuted James Knox's Zionist doctrine, I received the following email from James Knox's Assistant Pastor, David Andrew Brown:

"You are not welcome to attend THE BIBLE Baptist Church and spread beliefs and/or teachings that are contrary to what our church and its leadership believes and teaches."

With this statement, David Andrew Brown is in essence declaring that all Bible Baptist Church attendees must believe James Knox's many false teachings or leave.

CLOTHING: The Jehovah Witnesses

"Female believers should avoid wearing tight, short and revealing clothes, and all skirts and dresses should strictly remain below the knees." (L)

CLOTHING: James Knox

Women in James Knox's church are not allowed to wear pants.

VISITATION: The Jehovah Witnesses

When the Jehovah Witnesses evangelize door to door, they call it "going on visitation."

VISITATION: James Knox

Linda Strand, James Knox's business partner and influential church member has been exposed as a Jehovah Witness.  See her recent video (at 15:37) where she remarks,

"Can you believe it?  I was on visitation witnessing for Jesus..." She went on to remark how amazing it was that her "area of door knocking" (handing out James Knox's tracts) was exactly the same as a Jehovah Witness "who was on visitation in the very same area!"

JESUS CHRIST: The Jehovah Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses believe that Jesus Christ is Prince Michael the Archangel.

"Jesus has 'an archangel's voice' because he is the archangel, Michael." (L)

JESUS CHRIST: James Knox

On 5/29/22, James Knox's sermon was titled, "The Coming of the Lord/Micah-Lesson 3."

In that sermon  Knox said, "Revelation 1:5, 'And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.' He's not the king, HE'S THE PRINCE. That bothers some of you.  Jesus Christ IS A PRINCE."

Later in this sermon Knox said, "He hath on his vesture and a name written, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There it is. He's a prince in waiting now...."

James Knox said that Jesus Christ is a SHAPESHIFTER!

"Jesus Christ appeared several times after his resurrection to the same people and not once did they recognize him. Wouldn't they recognize him the second time or the third time or the fourth time? What if he just kept shape shifting...? What if 5 guys got together and said, "Let's draw a picture of Jesus. He's got black hair, no, he's got brown hair. I saw him, well I saw him..." Unto Glory | Hebrews - Lesson 36 (at 37:00)

JESUS CHRIST'S DEITY: The Jehovah Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses deny the deity of Jesus Christ

JESUS CHRIST'S DEITY: James Knox

Although James Knox does give lip service to biblical doctrines, his preaching minimizes the deity of Jesus Christ.

James Knox's quotes:

"Jesus Christ came down here and wasn't the god being prayed to, he was the man praying to God."

In order to "refute" Jesus Christ's omniscience James Knox recently said, "When you quote the scripture, oh, God knows everything, well, he [Jesus Christ] didn't know something when he got here that he knew when he left."

THE TRINITY: The Jehovah Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses deny the Trinity

THE TRINITY:  James Knox

James Knox minimizes the Trinity in his sermons.

THE HOLY SPIRIT: The Jehovah Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses believe that the Holy Spirit is just an impersonal force

THE HOLY SPIRIT: James Knox

The Holy Spirit, who indwells, teaches and seals all true believers in Jesus Christ is seldom, if ever, mentioned in James Knox's preaching.

THE BORN AGAIN EXPERIENCE: The Jehovah Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses have no born-again experience.

THE BORN AGAIN EXPERIENCE: James Knox

It's very seldom mentioned by James Knox

EVANGELISM IS FOR CHURCH RECRUITMENT ONLY: The Jehovah Witnesses

Their door-to-door "visitation" is for recruitment only as there can be no conversions and no one can be saved.

EVANGELISM IS FOR CHURCH RECRUITMENT ONLY: James Knox

James Knox's Testimony: From Where I Stand, 2013

Gospel Tract Distribution (Only ONE conversion despite 250,000 tracts handed out)

"Twenty years after the church was started [1985-2005], members had distributed enough gospel tracts for everyone in town [Deland] to have received a dozen. Through tract distribution we have only seen one person saved. That is a ratio of about 1 conversion per 250,000 tracts." (p. 147)

Street Preaching (Only ONE family saved in 20 years of preaching)

"We have had anywhere from one to twenty people giving forth the gospel in downtown Deland on average of once a week since 1986. We have sent teams to preach in Orlando since 1999. For all the untold multitudes who have heard the gospel proclaimed in this fashion, we have seen only one family saved." (p. 147)

House to House Evangelism (NO ONE saved in 20 years)

"It would be impossible to calculate how many doors have been knocked upon since we started... We seek to win lost people to a genuine saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I cannot recall one person who has been saved and added to our congregation through house-to-house evangelism. (p. 147)

WORKS BASED SALVATION: The Jehovah Witnesses and James Knox

Although James Knox gives lip service to salvation by grace, he preaches the law and teaches a works-based gospel that requires church attendance and is to be earned and measured by laboring to recruit new church members or by evangelizing King James Onlyism.

HEAVEN: Jehovah's Witnesses

Heaven is only for the certain chosen (144,000) Jehovah Witnesses and everyone else spends eternity on earth.

HEAVEN: James Knox

James Knox subtly preaches that Heaven and the New Jerusalem are places that will only exist on earth under the rule of the Jewish Antichrist.

"We're supposed to be perfect and before the Lord is finished with us, we will be perfect. Jesus Christ is perfect and everybody that was saved that's made it to Heaven has been perfected." (James Knox)

James Knox is implying that some saved don't make it to heaven. Will only the 144,000 make it to Heaven?"

James Knox wrote a book titled, "Will some Christians miss the Kingdom?"  One chapter in that book is titled, "Is the believers place in the Millennial Kingdom [on earth] secure?"

James Knox also doesn't believe in a Heavenly Kingdom, but only in an earthly paradise.

ZIONISMCharles Taze Russell, the founder of the JW's, and James Knox are both Jewish Zionists.  The most important doctrine for both the Jehovah Witnesses and for James Knox is to support modern Israel in opposition to God.
