Is Pastor James Knox (of the IFB) a Jehovah's Witness?

The Striking Parallels

JAMES KNOX'S PROMINENT CHURCH MEMBERS ARE JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES

There's overwhelming evidence (in the video below) that James Knox's prominent church member and business partner, Linda Strand, is a Jehovah's Witness, who deceitfully proselytizes Christians to become Jehovah Witnesses. The following are some very revealing quotations made by Linda Strand:

"The Jehovah Witnesses are so kind and wonderful. Open your door and be willing to spend time with them. Be friendly and receptive toward them. Listen to them and don't interrupt. Be willing to learn from them. Don't be a know-it-all. Don't argue with them. Don't show them that they are wrong. Don't call them a cult. Maybe you can win their friendship. Tell them about your family and ask them about their family. Exchange phone numbers with them. Show an interest in them. Tell them that you read their Awake Magazine-even if you don't. Tell them that you appreciate them stopping by. Be sure you're home when you promise to meet with them again."

GOD'S WAY: The Jehovah Witnesses

"God's Way" is a term peculiar to the Jehovah Witnesses as they often hold "God's Way" Conferences.

"May you have a safe journey and return home refreshed, determined to press on in Jehovah's precious service and to keep pursuing God's Way of Life for your eternal blessing."

THE WORSHIP SERVICES ARE CALLED "MEETINGS": The Jehovah's Witnesses

Jehovah Witnesses refer to all their weekly worship services as meetings.

"Jehovah's Witnesses hold meetings for worship twice each week. At these meetings, which are open to the public, we examine what the Bible says and how we can apply its teachings in our life.

"Most of our services include audience participation, much like a classroom discussion. Participation is voluntary. Meetings begin and end with song and prayer."

A Jehovah's Witness Meeting

THE WORSHIP SERVICES ARE CALLED MEETINGS: James Knox

Pastor James Knox refers to his church services as meetings. When he returns to Deland after preaching to Independent Fundamental Baptists church congregations across the US, he'll say how well all of the "meetings" went.

THE MEETING HOURS: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Deland, Fl. meets on Sundays at 10:00 AM and on Thursdays at 7:30 PM.

THE MEETING HOURS: James Knox

Churches in the US commonly hold a Sunday morning service and a mid-week service on a Wednesday night.  James Knox's Bible Baptist Church holds services on Sundays at 10:30 AM and Thursdays at 7:00 PM.

THE CHURCH IS A HOUSE: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses refer to their Kingdom Hall as "God's House" or as "Jehovah's House." (L)

THE CHURCH IS A HOUSE: James Knox

James Knox and his pastors always refers to his church as the "Church House."  They may declare, "We'll be leaving the church house at noon tomorrow."

NO COLLECTIONS ARE TAKEN: The Jehovah's Witnesses

"You don't have to be one of the Jehovah's Witnesses to attend our meetings. We invite everyone to come along. Seats are free.  No Collections are ever taken." (L)

NO COLLECTIONS ARE TAKEN: James Knox

James Knox's Bible Baptist Church never takes collections and a collection plate is never passed to the congregation.

TWO DONATION BOXES ARE KEPT AT THE REAR: Jehovah's Witnesses

"At Kingdom Hall meetings, there are two donation boxes in the rear of the hall which people may choose to put money in. One box is for paying for local congregation expenses (such as electricity and water bills), and the other box is for contributing to worldwide expenses..." (L)

TWO DONATION ARE BOXES KEPT AT THE REAR: James Knox

Although James Knox's Bible Baptist Church never takes collections and a collection plate is never passed to the congregation, he does keep two donation boxes at the rear of his "house."

NO HOLIDAYS ARE CELEBRATED: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses will not celebrate Christmas, Easter, or most holidays.

NO HOLIDAYS ARE CELEBRATED: James Knox

Pastor James Knox's church will not celebrate Christmas or Easter.  James Knox won't celebrate the birth or the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

NO POLITICS: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses never involve themselves with politics

NO POLITICS: James Knox

James Knox never involves his church with politics.

"We do not involve ourselves in any form of politics or in social issues."

James Knox, From Where I Stand 2013, p. 162

NO PATRIOTISM: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses have been banned from many countries as they are often hostile to their host country.

NO PATRIOTISM: James Knox

James Knox often bashes the US government and its leadership during his sermons while often referring to the United States as "your country."  What is James Knox's true country?  When asked what country she loved to travel to the most, James Knox's mother, Wanda, responded, "Naturally, Israel."

NO ALCOHOL: The Jehovah's  Witnesses

The Jehovah's Witnesses strongly discourage any alcohol consumption.

NO ALCOHOL: James Knox

James Knox strongly discourages his congregation from all alcohol consumption.

SHUNNING IS REQUIRED: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah's Witnesses will shun all their ex-members along with their own family members who don't join them.

SHUNNING IS REQUIRED: James Knox

James Knox's congregation shun's their own family members who are critical of his many unbiblical teachings.

OBEDIENCE TO CHURCH LEADERS EVEN WHEN THEY ARE WRONG: The Jehovah's Witnesses

Like all cults, the Jehovah's Witnesses must obey their leaders unconditionally.

"It cannot be stressed too strongly that this obedience is to be given even if the follower's own mind and conscience are offended." (Are you ready to obey?)

OBEDIENCE TO CHURCH LEADERS EVEN WHEN THEY ARE WRONG: James Knox

James Knox's congregation must obey James Knox and agree with him and his church leaders even when they are wrong and unbiblical

Shortly after this author refuted biblically James Knox's Zionist doctrine, I received the following email from James Knox's Co-Pastor, David Andrew Brown:

"You are not welcome to attend THE BIBLE Baptist Church and spread beliefs and/or teachings that are contrary to what our church and its leadership believes and teaches."

Notice that David Brown didn't say that I couldn't "spread beliefs" contrary to God's word, but only contrary to the heretical beliefs and teachings of his church's leaders.

With this statement, David Andrew Brown is in essence declaring that all Bible Baptist Church attendees must believe James Knox's many false teachings or leave.

CHILDREN's RESTRICTIONS: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The children of Jehovah Witnesses aren't allowed to make friends with anyone who's not a Jehovah's Witness.  They are also not allowed to watch TV.

CHILDREN's RESTRICTIONS: James Knox

The children in James Knox's congregation are discouraged from making any friends who aren't members of his congregation.  They are homeschooled and discouraged from attending the public school system.  They are also discouraged from watching TV or the internet.

WOMEN'S CLOTHING: The Jehovah's Witnesses

"Female believers should avoid wearing tight, short and revealing clothes, and all skirts and dresses should strictly remain below the knees." (L)

WOMEN'S CLOTHING: James Knox

Women in James Knox's church aren't allowed to wear pants and must wear dresses that are well below the knees.

PROSELYTIZING IS VISITATION: The Jehovah's Witnesses

When the Jehovah Witnesses proselytize door to door, it's called "going on visitation."

PROSELYTIZING IS VISITATION: James Knox

Linda Strand, James Knox's business partner and influential church member has been exposed as a Jehovah's Witness.  In her recent video (at 15:37) she remarks,

"Can you believe it?  I was on visitation witnessing for Jesus..." She went on to say how amazing it was that her "area of door knocking" (handing out James Knox's tracts) was exactly the same as a Jehovah's Witness "who was on visitation in the very same area!"

JESUS CHRIST IS A PRINCE: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses believe that Jesus Christ is Prince Michael the Archangel.

"Jesus has 'an archangel's voice' because he is the archangel, Michael." (L)

JESUS CHRIST IS A PRINCE: James Knox

On 5/29/22, James Knox's sermon was titled, "The Coming of the Lord/Micah-Lesson 3."

In that sermon, Knox said at 9:05, "Revelation 1:5, 'And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.' He's not the king, HE'S THE PRINCE. That bothers some of you.  Jesus Christ IS A PRINCE."

Later in this same sermon James Knox said, "He hath on his vesture and a name written, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There it is. He's a prince in waiting now...."

Unlike the heretical beliefs of James Knox and the Jehovah's Witnesses, God's word is clear that Jesus Christ has always been a King.

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." (Matt 2:1,2)

JESUS CHRIST IS A SHAPESHIFTING ANGEL: The Jehovah's Witnesses

Jesus' Body—Was It Flesh or Spirit After His Resurrection? | Bible Questions

"After his resurrection, Jesus also assumed human form temporarily, just as angels had previously done. As a spirit creature, though, he was able to appear and disappear suddenly. (Luke 24:31; John 20:19, 26) The fleshly bodies that he materialized were not identical from one appearance to the next. Thus, even Jesus' close friends recognized him only by what he said or did.—Luke 24:30, 31, 35; John 20:14-16; 21:6, 7."

JESUS CHRIST IS A SHAPESHIFTING ANGEL: James Knox

James Knox also said that Jesus Christ is a SHAPESHIFTING ANGEL.

"Jesus Christ appeared several times after his resurrection to the same people and not once did they recognize him. Wouldn't they recognize him the second time or the third time or the fourth time? What if he just kept shape shifting...? What if 5 guys got together and said, "Let's draw a picture of Jesus. He's got black hair, no, he's got brown hair. I saw him, well I saw him..." (Unto Glory | Hebrews - Lesson 36 at 9:40)

THE DENIAL OF JESUS CHRIST'S BODILY RESURRECTION: James Knox

James Knox teaches that Jesus Christ is a prince and a shapeshifting angel

DENIES JESUS CHRIST'S DEITY: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses deny the deity of Jesus Christ

MINIMIZES JESUS CHRIST'S DEITY: James Knox

To maintain his Christian facade, James Knox gives lip service to biblical doctrines.  His preaching, however, minimizes the deity of Jesus Christ.

James Knox's recent quotes:

"Jesus Christ came down here and wasn't the God being prayed to, he was the man praying to God."

In order to "refute" Jesus Christ's deity (omniscience), James Knox recently said, "When you quote the scripture, God knows everything, well, he [Jesus Christ] didn't know something when he got here that he knew when he left."

DENIES THE TRINITY: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses deny the Trinity

MINIMIZES THE TRINITY:  James Knox

James Knox minimizes the Trinity in his sermons.

DENIES THE HOLY SPIRIT: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses believe that the Holy Spirit is just an impersonal force.

MINIMIZES THE HOLY SPIRIT: James Knox

The Holy Spirit, who indwells, teaches and seals all true believers in Jesus Christ is seldom, if ever, mentioned in James Knox's preaching.

NO BORN AGAIN EXPERIENCE: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah Witnesses can have no born-again experience.

A BORN AGAIN EXPERIENCE IS MINIMIZED: James Knox

The need to be born again is very seldom mentioned by James Knox

EVANGELISM IS FOR CHURCH RECRUITMENT ONLY: The Jehovah's Witnesses

The Jehovah's Witnesses door-to-door "visitation" is for recruitment only as there can be no conversions and no one can be saved.

EVANGELISM IS FOR CHURCH RECRUITMENT ONLY: James Knox

James Knox's Testimony of his Unfruitful MInistry: From Where I Stand, 2013:

Gospel Tract Distribution (Only ONE conversion despite 250,000 tracts handed out)

"Twenty years after the church was started [1985-2005], members had distributed enough gospel tracts for everyone in town [Deland] to have received a dozen. Through tract distribution we have only seen one person saved. That is a ratio of about 1 conversion per 250,000 tracts." (p. 147)

Street Preaching (Only ONE family saved in 20 years of preaching)

"We have had anywhere from one to twenty people giving forth the gospel in downtown Deland on average of once a week since 1986. We have sent teams to preach in Orlando since 1999. For all the untold multitudes who have heard the gospel proclaimed in this fashion, we have seen only one family saved." (p. 147)

House to House Evangelism (NO ONE saved in 20 years)

"It would be impossible to calculate how many doors have been knocked upon since we started... We seek to win lost people to a genuine saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I cannot recall one person who has been saved and added to our congregation through house-to-house evangelism. (p. 147)

Question

According to James Knox's own testimony, his evangelistic ministry has been entirely unfruitful.  Given this, why does this ministry continue at full speed?  Only to recruit tithing church members?

WORKS BASED SALVATION: The Jehovah's Witnesses and James Knox

The Jehovah's Witnesses teach a works-based salvation and although James Knox gives lip service to salvation by grace, he preaches the law and a works-based gospel.  It seems that salvation in James Knox's church is earned by church attendance, following his many unbiblical decrees, and by laboring to recruit new tithing church members.

HEAVEN IS A PARADISE ON EARTH: Jehovah's Witnesses

Heaven is only for the certain chosen (144,000) of the Jehovah Witnesses and everyone else spends eternity on an Earthly Paradise.

HEAVEN IS PARADISE ON EARTH: James Knox

James Knox wrote a book, "Will some Christians miss the Kingdom?"  One chapter in that book is titled, "Is the believers place in the Millennial Kingdom secure?"  Jesus Christ's Millennial Kingdom is on earth.

A Christian would never ask or wonder if his "place in the Millennial Kingdom is secure." Why?  Because believers in Jesus Christ are in Heaven during Jesus Christ's Millennial Reign and not on earth.  James Knox's "Heaven," like the Jehovah's Witnesses, is just an earthly paradise.

ZIONISM: The Jehovah's Witnesses

Charles Taze Russell, the founder of the Jehovah's Witnesses, was perhaps the most influential Jewish Zionist in history.

ZIONISM: James Knox

James Wilson Knox is a Jewish Zionist.  Zionism is a very important doctrine for both the Jehovah's Witnesses and for James Knox's ministry.
